You googled "carpetbagger," read the wikipedia on it to see the definition and then pretty much repeated it here verbatim. lol

You really should stop embarrassing yourself at this point.

Where are these houses of which you speak? There are seven properties below $300K either for sale or coming soon in Madison.

I came to Alabama because I saw an incredible opportunity here to further my career here- you should be happy that there are people from all over the country and the world moving here and bringing new energy, new ideas and new ways of thinking to this place, Huntsville area in particular

I know very few people in my area that are moving to places like Montgomery, Mobile or even Birmingham- so you should be open to new ideas, constructive criticism and feedback coming from newcomers.

"Extremely misguided ideas and statements"- Please give me an example- If you want to scroll all the way back to beginning of the thread- If there is anything that I stated during this thread that is false or untrue, please point it out.

I will give you perfect example of some of the stuff that annoys and makes no sense in my mind:

If you are heading West on Madison Blvd just before Intergraph Way, there is no access to the businesses on the Left then if you turn Left onto Intergraph Way, you gotta go all the way to the roundabout, circle it all the way around and then head on Intergraph Way going the opposite way towards Madison Blvd-

I am almost forced to make an illegal U-turn right there, each and every time because it does not make sense to go all the way down to the roundabout and circle it.

Do you even understand how many illegal U-Turns I was forced to make around Huntsville since I moved here?
They have become a way of life- As much as I do not in any way encourage people to break transit laws, it is the only way to react to a roadway design that makes absolutely no rational or logical sense in my mind, whatsoever.
You do know the po-po read the forums? BOLO for unmarked cars now. Your ticket might be a bargain though compared to other areas, only around $200 plus court costs, plus driving school at another $200 to keep your insurance down, plus ...

I suggest that you obey the traffic (not transit) laws here like the rest of us poor uneducated folks do. As far as the roads not making rational or logical sense in your mind, can't help you there.

Now harry, you know that in his mind the police around here are inept, bumbling, uneducated, lazy idiots that do not even know how to write a traffic ticket and the ones that do know how lack the pride to do their jobs. The only way he would get a traffic ticket, would be if he talked one of his buddies from Denver or wherever into coming down here and joining our police force where he would immediately be made Chief because he is so superior to the officers here. He would then in fire everybody and bring in officers from said city. lol

You do realize all of this was designed by an engineer, probably one that just moved into the area just like you!

I've been to Denver and the area. What can you say about the folks there who think Coors light is beer?

HSVAero - couldn't find your original post, but a U-turn going west on Madison Blvd at Intergraph Way is not illegal. In fact, in Huntsville, and the entire state as far as I know, the only time a U-turn is illegal is when there's a sign indicating such. Unless a sign has been erected in the last week or so, it's perfectly legal. The intersection with Intergraph Way has a double left hand turn (west to south), so obviously you have to be in the inside turn lane to make the U-turn.

A bigger issue there and elsewhere is the lack of lane divider markings (between the two turn lanes) and faded to the point of non-existence of lane markings in general, especially in Madison.
