That is cool!

I'd like to see more firearms developed wholly within the state of Idaho.

To be completely honest, they didn't "create" or develop an all-new firearm. It's a basic AR-platform rifle assembled with parts produced in the state. You could do the same from any of several individual manufacturers. The owner of Seekins Precison (Seekins Precision) is a friend of mine and has built complete rifles for a number of years in Lewiston. Another company making AR parts is up in Bonners AR15 / M16 - Tactical Innovations Inc. - Idaho Official Website -

I didn't think this was worth it's own thread, but I watch "The Incredible Dr. Pol" on Saturday nights and tonight's episode was on his vacation to Idaho. He and his wife went to Kamiah, Idaho. I absolutely could not believe it. I know it is going to be several years before we can get back to Idaho on a permanent basis and I want to keep it a secret! I'm hoping that Idaho can remain a special little gem that not everyone knows about. Is that bad of me? I have a confession: There is a company on-line that makes leather bracelet cuffs with longitude and latitude of whatever place you want. I had one made up of Lake Pend Oreille and I wear it every day. Hubby and I are trying to stash as much $ as possible for retirement and the cuff reminds me not to spend foolishly so we can reach our goal. Yeah, I'm a goofball.

As it happens, a Seekins Precision lower receiver was used for this particular firearm.

While the headline indicates it's an "All Idaho Firearm," the article says it's a "firearm created almost entirely of Idaho made products." As you read the detailed list of where the various parts came from you will note that there are some parts not listed. I assume these came from other states.

There are some interesting aspects of a firearm that is 100% made from products manufactured in a single state. Apparently this one doesn't quite meet that standard.

What I noticed was "income is still more evenly distributed compared to most of the nation"...

My heart aches for those in Louisanna with an income of less then $10,000.

No wonder there are threads posted by the younger ones miffed at seniors thinking they are taking something away from them. Back in the Bay Area, many have starting pay of around $100,000 with an attitiude to go with it. I want to be with real people who have shared values and will speak to you even if you don't have money in your hand.
