Yay! Peepers, and no more CUP! I was going to offer you some of our peepers, but that's a moot point now!

We celebrated with wine and a bonfire to pay homage to the Peeper Goddess. Life is good...spring is here.

We went for a quad ride yesterday...(somewhat) warm sunny weather, hard driving rain, blustery cold wind and hail, all within an hour. Like they say, if you don't like Idaho weather, wait 10 minutes, it'll change.

They are little frogs that make a heck of a load croaking noise. Sometimes referred to as "spring peepers" in this area. A bit later in the year they are nearly deafening around ponds and streams, but we think of them as the first sign of spring.

Wait till you get one in a drainpipe/gutter. The pipe seems to act as an amplifier...and it's really hard to localize where the noise is coming from. Much as I like the little buggers, I can do without them in the drainpipe by my bedroom window!

My son caught some peepers and kept them in a terrarium for about 2 years. Those little frogs are real predators!
He fed them mealy worms and other food they like, and they act just like tiny stalking tigers when the bugs were dropped in among them.
