Pop around 500. Two gas stations, 2-3 restaurants (all depending on what's closed and opened since last year), friendly Clark Fork Lodge with a laundromat (and vacation homes for sale), a nice guest ranch, the Diamond T, 5 miles east of town, a high school with a good reputation, a library, a super friendly mayor's office, a post office, a gifted artist welder's studio, two hair salons (I think). I probably forgot something important in town... In addition, the most spectacular back country you could ever wish for. To the west: The Clark Fork Delta, and Lake Pend Oreille. To the east: The Cabinet Gorge dam, Highway 200 along the Clark Fork, and the entire state of Montana . The immediate MT neighborhood includes Bull River and the Ross Creek Cedars, and the Noxon Rapids, plus the Amber Bear Inn in Heron. To the north: The impassible Cabinet Mountains and Scotchman Peaks with hiking trails. To the south: a spectacular bridge across the majestic Clark Fork, and access to the Green Monarchs with a top-of-the-mountain route all the way to Bayview, as well as the backroad to Heron.

Just off the top of my head. And of course it is the future site of CFF's retirement .
