Had a great weekend with North Idaho ATV Association. We camped at Lost Moose Campground south of Cataldo. Great place to stay, the owners are really good to deal with and really worked with us. The campground is really nice, with big spots, and a nice creek running through it. We had nice riding both days, with a really great group of people.

How cold was it, Toyman?
It's been colder than the dickens down here for a week- lots of rain and wind too- and we're looking at another week of crappy weather ahead.

Freezing rain here...in Sandpoint! I'm back for just a few days, to do stuff on our property, and I don't care if it is raining or snowing, it feels great to be here! Lilacs in bloom! Everything is so green! Had dinner at Lou's in Ponderay, the best chocolate chip cookie & ice cream in the world!

Wow, those few days flew by...back in SoCal "normalcy," for now, but I'll be back in NID later this summer. Exciting to be in NID this time--actually planning our Front Porch!

My favorite breakfast place in Clark Fork was closed, no more Mom's Cafe ...but it looks like The View Cafe in Cocolalla may be reopening! Does anybody know if that's true?

I'll take a look next time I drive by The View Cafe. Went to MickDuffs last night and saw the space where the big brewing tanks used to be...it will be nice to have more seating in there. I'm mostly just excited about the water level coming up...I always watch the #6 piling as I drive into town waiting to see the water cover the post...even if the water is still pretty chilly...

Howdy boys.

My mom and dad bought some property up in the hills above CDA intending to build on it someday. This was shortly after they were married.

While they were off living life their neighbors diked up the land so their land didn't flood. This caused my parents lot to flood yet there was no apparent legal remedy to force the people to break down the dikes, and the county wouldn't help resolve the issue.

It was hard to deal with as my parents were in California at the time.It was a strange situation, and they ended up selling the land to those neighbors for less than they paid for it. Seems quite unfair actually.

It's been since the '80's that I was up there, but I remember CDA and the area being beautiful.

Strange facts and useless information about Idaho:

On I-15, exit #143 and mile marker 143 at at the same spot. Several others are close but this one is dead on!
