I don't know if I would go so far as to cut the a/c in this heat. I would not want t see anyone die, especially a baby. It is too brutal here in the summer. They could however turn the information over to ICE or bp and have them escorted ever so gently home.
Did everyone die before A/C was invented? How did people survive before then? Was Arizona populated only after A/C came along? Uncomfortable, yes - unavoidably fatal, no. And remember, you're talking about a group which routinely crosses the desert in the worst of conditions, and members often pack themselves in large groups into vans and unventilated cargo trucks and shipping containers.
There's plenty of A/C for them back SOB. Calderon will provide!
We here in S Cal deal with rolling blackouts every summer because the grid can't keep up. If we could take 3 million Illegals and there families out of the equation? Well, there you go.

In 1995 over 700 people died in Chicago during a heatwave. In 2003 approximately 15,000 died in France during a heatwave. So plenty of people have died in climates colder than Arizona's due to lack of A/C.

Due to lack of AC? I thought it was due to lack of preparedness. Many areas of the World "lack" AC every year and they manage to survive with hydration, shade and preparedness. Many parts of Mexico don't have AC, how do they do it?
It will cost the utility companies way to much money (unless of course they raise OUR rates again) to check the legal staus of everyone.
It also will open them up to lawsuits if children who have been born here and are citizens either get sick or die because their parents aren't legal.
It'll never happen.
Well, actually it won't. I don't know about Arizona, but in Florida...when you get your electricity, they ask for a Social Security Number. Who gets a Social Security Number? Not an illegal!! They can also send in a copy of a Drivers License.

We should start with holding employers accountable who hire without checking the legal status and actually making it harder for illegals to even rent apts. & houses, then the utility companies wouldnt have to check the legal status of its customers.

Sindey, you are absolutely correct about hiring them. But, the electric company is not going to verify employment with the employers, but can get that info by running their Social.
If I had my way, all illegals would be rounded up and shipped off back home.
Take away thier ability to get HOUSING when they're here illegally and you wouldn't need to be concerned with cutting off their utilities.......comprende?
Easy way to get around those pesky rules and regulations, social security numbers, deposits, etc. to get water and electric. The person who owns the house pays the water and electric bills that are in the owners name. The average amount [and then some to cover a/c costs] of water and electric are added to the monthly rent. Nobody except the neighbors know who and how many people are living in the house. And in Florida you can lie to the property appraiser every year and swear that you still live in the house to get a homestead exemption for R.E. taxes. And I wouldn't be surprised if many of them get the rent in cash and it's not reported as income.
