One Arizona politician has made a vow to make illegal immigrants powerless -- literally.
Republican Barry Wong, a candidate for the Arizona Corporation Commission, an elected body that decides public utility issues, says he would require the utilities to check the immigration status of customers, he told the Arizona Republic.
Well if they didn't rent or sell to illegals, utilities wouldn't be an issue.

Don't hold your breath on that one. Their charges of racism are usually directed at whites rather than minorities.
It will cost the utility companies way to much money (unless of course they raise OUR rates again) to check the legal staus of everyone.
It also will open them up to lawsuits if children who have been born here and are citizens either get sick or die because their parents aren't legal.

I don't know if I would go so far as to cut the a/c in this heat. I would not want t see anyone die, especially a baby. It is too brutal here in the summer. They could however turn the information over to ICE or bp and have them escorted ever so gently home.
