He wasn't talking to illegals. He was talking to Democratic members of Congress who are of Hispanic descent. All, presumably, legal citizens of the United States. All interested in addressing immigration reform. The Congressional Hispanic Caucus was formed in 1976. It's not a new organization. Presidents have addressed them on several occasions.
Then tell me, please, why does the Congressional Hispanic Caucus need an Immigration reform?
What's exactly needed to be reformed in our immigration system?
Why there is not 1776 style revolution by ALL of the American people, going on in this country against the Tyrant in Chief, America's own modern day Monarchy, is really beyond me. Personally, I'm about ready to join the Tea Party revolt--status quo government has to go or I'm afraid that our generation will be the one to witness the end of Constitutional law and protection as we know it.
People really refuse to see what is going on in this nation.
The poverty rates RISE as ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION GOES UP!
1 in 7 AMERICANS live below the poverty line.
Wonder why a lot of them can't find work? Outsourcing, downsizing, and illegals working those jobs.
Why can't someone perform a comprehensive unbiased study about the cost of ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION on the AVERAGE AMERICAN FAMILY?!

Shouldn't those that go to congress represent everyone in their district. Are there some districts that are fully 100% Hispanic and that have only 100% Hispanic interests? The whole organization sounds racist and discriminatory against those that are not Hispanic.
Here is a quote from their web site:
The CHC aims to address national and international issues and the impact these policies have on the Hispanic community. The function of the Caucus is to serve as a forum for the Hispanic Members of Congress to coalesce around a collective legislative agenda. The Caucus is dedicated to voicing and advancing, through the legislative process, issues affecting Hispanics in the United States and Puerto Rico.
If that's not racist I don't know what is.
Let's re-phrase it so we can read it using a non Hispanic white race agenda:
The CWC aims to address national and international issues and the impact these policies have on the White community. The function of the Caucus is to serve as a forum for the White Members of Congress to coalesce around a collective legislative agenda. The Caucus is dedicated to voicing and advancing, through the legislative process, issues affecting Whites in the United States and Puerto Rico.
Granted, there may not be many non Hispanic whites in Puerto Rico to advance, but that's not the issue.
Would this be OK to do? Create a non Hispanic White caucus for non Hispanic White America? Would that not be considered divisive and offense to just about everyone that reads it?

Can you turn those same, identical arguments around to defend Michelle Bachmann forming a Tea Party Caucus earlier this year? Is there a Congressional District where every single person is a Tea Party member?

The Tea Party Movement is not race based. They aren't defending illegals who are white. There lays your difference between Hispanic advocacy groups and the Tea Partiers.
