The Supreme Courts rulling allowing all childern, regardless of immigration status, an education... still stands. The Court did not say FREE education; meaning that the school district's Tax payer is picking up the bill for ALL children.

Im reaching?...
You have conveniently overlooked a salient argument in the Supreme Court decision. It was argued that UNLESS educating illegal alien children posed a substantial threat to states, there was no legitimate reason to deny them an education. At the time of the ruling, we did not have massive illegal immigration, thus, the threat was deemed negligible. However, we now spend BILLIONS annually to educate illegal alien children, and their increased numbers have overcrowded schools, which is a major factor in the overall decline in the quality of a public school education. When the education of illegal alien children is provided to the detriment of OUR children, it ceases to benefit this country.

If the State is to deny a discrete group of innocent children the free public education that it offers to other children residing within its borders, that denial must be justified by a showing that it furthers some substantial state interest.

Yes, the funding comes from MY wages. Here in Texas, there are a great number of students who commute over the border, their parents may be filthy rich, live in Mexico where they pay no taxes but bring their kids to US schools. This way they don't have to use their money to build schools in their own country, they really don't care if the poor who can't commute have run-down schools because they can buy a $400 laser visa for their own kids to use.

Then there are the weekend parents who ship their kids over to relatives or friends to attend American schools at no cost -- the free breakfasts and lunches come in very handy.

And there are the illegals who live many families to a single household to avoid paying property taxes. Whereas an American family may have 2 or 3 kids in one residence and pay sky high taxes, the illegals can have 20 kids living in one residence and pool the taxes. But if they're getting Section 8 for any US born children, they don't have property taxes.
