No, lawyers are not required to agree with every law. But, they are obligated to uphold the law. It’s one of those pesky standards of professional conduct. Of course, crooks can be found in any profession.

Militant libertarianism does tend to sound stupid once you leave the classroom, dear.

People tend to leave it behind once they hit adulthood.

I've been meaning to ask. Does your username really intend to praise the Iranian holocaust denying lunatic? I'm just a little bit curious about someone who yelps about human rights and then apparently praises someone who is notorious for abusing them.

Until you actually become a lawyer, there is nothing for you TO DO. I was merely responding to your comment.

Great, what do you think I should tell my lawyer friends to be doing right now in order to "uphold the law"?

They should be doing what any loyal American would do and that is fighting this illegal immigration mess. There are many ways to join that fight.

What's stupid about this thread is the OP takes an isolated incident and turns it into a "THEY are doing this horrible thing" generalization.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know this is NOT an isolated incident. This is indeed horrible, and it has happened to millions of others. Can we expect the usual, “They don’t ALL do this” response to EVERY article posted on this forum? It has become rather tiresome, and adds absolutely nothing to the discussion.
