Why wouldn't you also blame the illegal aliens (not immigrants)? Are they little babies that don't know right from wrong?

There is plenty of blame to go around.
Our politicians as well as illegals.

Maybe those teachers will be happy to have fewer kids in their classes and parents that actually speak English. The more illegals fear they'll get caught and penalized the better we'll all be.

Alabama immigration law kicks in, but authorities still need guidance, money to enforce it - The Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/police-set-to-enforce-parts-of-tough-alabama-immigration-law-that-federal-judge-upheld/2011/09/29/gIQAvMgT6K_story.html - broken link)

Thurday, September 29, 2011

“Among other things, Alabama’s law requires public school officials to check the immigration status of students, though they can still attend.”

----

IMO, I believe the main resason that the American public has such a voracious appetite for deporting illegal aliens is they drain the social service benefits and hurt the nations economy and they bring dangerous drugs into the country.

Even though Hispanics make up 13 percent of the adult population, they accounted for 40 percent of sentenced federal offenders. Link

It seems there are some real problems not with the law but the costs and training and the availability of the jail facilities required to enforce the law the biggest among them being funding and government cooperation. It’s only a misdemeanor for illegal aliens to be in the country without papers it should be a felony and it was up until 2004 when our genius politicians decided to change that law in order to exploit cheap labor.

There are about 185,000 Hispanics in Alabama currently. I wonder how many of them are there with out papers. We all know that their children who were born on American soil are called Americans but many have allegiance to their parent's foreign countries of origin and many Anchor Babies do not speak English.

The meat packing plants and produce fields draw the illegal aliens to Alabama. These jobs pay well over minimum wage. The government should help the farmers out by offering temporary jobs to people and prisoner across the nation and set up temporary housing like FEMA does for disaster victims to pick the crops. Other Americans can be permanently relocated to work in the poultry plants.

The government should also step in and assist local and state agencies with detention of the illegal aliens and pick up the illegal aliens for processing and deportation ASAP. OR have them transported to a regional FEMA REX84 processing facility for detainment, processing and deportation.

Alabama is already in financial dire straits and the city of Birmingham is on the verge of filing the biggest municipal bankruptcy in U.S. history. The Law enforcement agencies say that they cannot begin arresting the illegal aliens until they get training and training is expensive. The money has to come from somewhere for the additional costs of training of the officers. They have to have additional funding for the extra facilities to keep the illegal aliens in and for detention, processing, medical and transportation. Not to mention the extra man hours needed to complete the operation.

The federal government should step in and help with the costs since they are the ones who created the immigration problem. If the Fed's complains they don’t have the money, we should tell them to cut off foreign aid to our enemies and welfare to illegal aliens and that should create enough revenue to cover the costs.

The biggest concerns are how and where to detain the illegal alien criminals and if the Fed’s will cooperate and do their part by picking up the illegal aliens in a timely fashion as not to cause hardship on the counties and state.

America’s jails and prisons are already facing massive overcrowding largely due to the hardened illegal alien criminals. The illegal aliens account for one third of prison inmates currently in America. Link, Link, Link

Another concern Alabama has is who is going to pay for the medical costs of the illegal aliens and what if the Fed’s don’t do their part and pick up the illegal aliens for processing and deportation? Who gets stuck with the bill and the headaches? The governor of Alabama says it would be the cities responsibilities to pick up the costs and “he is counting on federal authorities to assist Alabama in enforcing the new law. My question is if the state is nearly broke, how can they pick up anymore bills without cutting funding and benefits to their own constituents.

One way to handle the problem on our own would be to build temporary holding cells or convert empty buildings into temporary jails and to transport the illegal aliens like a relay team from county to county and state to state and dump them in the heart of Washington D.C. That may be dangerous because they may take over the Senate since they appear to be smarter than our politicians.

Gov. Robert Bentley said, “We expect the federal government to enforce the law that’s there. We are almost forcing their hand to do that.”

To further elaborate on the agriculture industry Obama said he wanted to create new jobs well, heres jobs for the taking. Obama could subsidize the farmers to increase their already handsome hourly wage to make American's want to take the temporary jobs. I believe the youth and poor would jump at the chance to make more than prevailing wages, usually the picker only work 4 hours a day. They could have youth camps to help pick the crops watched over by adult supervision and the Fed’s. That way the crops wouldn’t rot in the fields. They could do the same thing with the adult workers by providing transportation, housing and food and a return trip ticket home for all. It could be a successful program it's better than throwing money out the window with the likes of Solyndra.

Some American people might decide to stay in Alabama permanently and take positions in the factories and plants that were once filled by the illegal aliens. It is said that one-fifth of all jobs in Alabama are in the agribusinesses so there should be plenty of openings once the deportations start.

I believe the new Alabama law could be beneficial to the state and the American workers and the Nation. More states should adopt such laws and force the Feds to help enforce the immigration laws.

The American people should DEMAND that the federal government uphold the existing immigration laws and tell them it’s silly to have an immigration battle when it's our country! It’s clear that the people crossing our borders illegally is a crime and they commit other crimes once they’re in America. The open border advocates have another agenda and that is to dominate America and destroy the American way of life. NOT ON MY WATCH!

This isn't Federal law. It's a state law and the courts have ruled that it will be enforced. Epic fail bobby.....as usual

Grasping at straws again? Who in this forum has ever complained about someone speaking English with an accent? Hell, I am thrilled when I see an obvious Latino actually speaking English at all out in public.
