Win win for who? The users certainly. Society? I think not as addictions will rise and the productive of our society have yet another burden to deal with.
It baffles me when people think the answers to our problems are to ignore them. That's how we got in to the immigration issue as well as the cartel BS.
It could also contribute to our climbing poverty rate.
Close the border and put the military on it that would choke the cartels off and cut their purse strings. We'd better be prepared though because they may declare war on the U.S. to open the border back up again.
Because the the drug war and the costs of incarceration isn't? And of course it would be a win for users - it would get the government off their back and on to more important things.
And for those of us who will be forced to foot the bill for their addictions and treatment?
Goodness! You don't think we will need police protection if we legalize all drugs?
Hmm? I'm saying that the war on drugs is expensive because it costs so much to enforce. We'll still have police, but we'll pay less for them because they won't be drug warring.
We need our border secure before we turn into a narco state and America becomes a war zone.
We don't have a president but a puppet.
illegals from Mexico working for the cartel is reason of enough to enforce immigration laws. Our borders are not secure.
Napolitano on Huckabee said cartels in every state but no further comment. What has any administration ever done to get illegals all out since Eisenhower? Was a direct message to cartels by Napolitano that violence here won't be tolerated but nothing about drugs or for them to get out. If government would tell illegals they are not wanted to get out they would flee. We have to vote in someone who really wants to stop illegal immigration and that is Ron Paul, he said he will enforce our laws, he means it. Bachmann is also sincere about stopping illegal immigration. The rest are not.
