Since today is May Day, there are expected to be protests all over the place by illegal aliens and their supporters. These fools mistakenly believe that they have a right to be here, and oppose any form of border control and deportations.

My question to those who support illegal aliens and want open borders is this:

Why do you falsely believe illegal aliens have a right to be here?

Who cares if deportations destroy their families, they knew that was a risk the moment they entered the U.S. without the proper documentation. This country is already approaching critical mass in terms of carrying capacity, the last thing this place needs is millions and millions more uneducated and low skilled individuals.

The border needs to be locked up tight, and deportations need to be carried out en masse if this country is to have a prosperous future with a high standard of living. There is no right for anyone to enter this country, it is a privilege.

The U.S. is rapidly approaching critical mass in terms of overpopulation. There is no mistaking that.

I agree. Or they could come to this Country with pride as our ancestors did from the past. And come here with intentions of truly becoming American Citizens.

My ancestors got nothing given to them, not a damn thing, just flack for beingg here from their homeland italy, and if you think for one minute Italians did not go thru a lot when they got to this Country, i do have quite a lot of information of hard it was for them, and how Americans treated them.

Believe me they were not welcoming at all. Who in the hell would give those that come here illegally the rights that those of us have, who believe in coming to this Country the right way, what a friggin slap in the face to them.

Give one power, they will run and take off with it.

The husband is unlawfully present, born in Iran. The wife is an American citizen. The kids are American citizens. What then? The husband can't stay in America, and Iran won't take the wife and kids. See the problem here? Mixed-nationality families can't move around easily because of anti-immigrant people don't care about family unity.

Your Senate is working on legislation to allow those in the country now to apply for legalization. No one is calling for a constitutional amendment to make being in the country without documentation a "right".

There is a difference between Lawful ...and constitutional rights.

The way our immigration laws work is that immigrants apply to come here from within their own countries. Not by breaking our immigration laws by coming here illegally first and then applying to become legal within our own borders.

"Our" Senate? Aren't they your senate also or aren't you a legal immigrant or citizen of our country?

No, immigration law allows a few different ways to become a legal resident from being out-of-status, all processed within the United States. Spouses of U.S. citizens are allowed to enter from VWP countries and adjust status here too. And then there is the "Matter of Quilantan: http://www.justice.gov/eoir/vll/intdec/vol25/3688.pdf
