Obama halted all deportations except for the most vicious violent criminal types so this is just for drama and attention.

Yet another unsourced lie, our current President has had an administration that deported more than any other, since the founding of this country...

Getting tough on employers means a war on small business.
Securing the borders has an enormous ongoing price tag associated with it.

No one wants to alienate the Hispanic vote.
War on corrupt greedy small (and big) business. These businesses benefit from ultra cheap labor and run out the honest businesses.

In many places, all the landscaping and construction companies that would hire Americans and pay legal wages and businesses had to shut down because they cannot compete with the crooks who bring in and hire only illegals.

Looks like somebody forgot to read the article at the link again......

"But he says he has tried to focus those deportation efforts on criminals and repeat-immigration violators, leaving most rank-and-file illegal immigrants in little danger of being deported."

And yet, has deported more than the administration of any other President before it...

At current rates, deporting enough by next year to eclipse those removed (between 500,000 to two million) in a ten-year period of the "Mexican Repatriation", where an estimated 60% were U.S. citizens. More than were deported during a period of over a hundred years from 1892 to 1997. It doesn't resolve to say that illegal aliens are not deported under the watch of President Obama, when no other administration has been able to match those statistics.

Should be easy for the Immigration to go and pick them up and get started on the deportation process.

Only because they changed the way they count deportations, this administration counts voluntary returns as deportations which is not accurate. A deportation is a formal legal process, the voluntary return is not.

They also counted being turned down at the border as a deportation.

Even Obama admitted as much. They are counting returns and removals. Past administrations only counted removals.

The Obama administration also moved some stats from Border Patrol to ICE which also added to the numbers (Alien Transfer Exit Program)

So to say Obama has deported more than any other President is not comparing apples to apples.

If we count returns and removals then Bush holds the record (1996..1.6 million removals/returns).

But Bush II wasn't President in 1996 (in fact didn't go into office until 2001). I think we are all talking about the same thing, "returns" (those caught in the border region) are still captured, detained, processed, and removed (now with flights to Mexico City for the Mexican Nationals). President Obama's administration is on track to have removed two million by the next fiscal year (which we enter in less than two weeks).

No one else is seeing all the contract Wackenhut buses?...

"Seven illegal immigrants chained themselves to the White House fence Wednesday to demand President Obama halt all deportations, saying he has a moral obligation to keep families together.

“Stop deportations — not one more,” onlookers chanted as police moved in to remove the activists, who aired a live web videocast of their arrest.

I don't know what they are worried about. Obama has halted any deportations of illegal aliens unless they are convicted felons.
