Currently we support these same millions of people and their families that aren't supposed to be here so a shift in where that money is going is ok by me. At least deportation is a one time expense if our border is secure.

Sure do --- consider the alternative. We now are having to pay for all their health care needs, the births of their children here, the 14 or more years of education starting with head start for any children they give birth to or smuggle in, and for many free college or at least very subsidized. Food stamps, housing vouchers, and you can expect that by grabbing up low wage jobs, most illegals don't have much of a retirement plan -- so that will be up to the taxpayers also.

Just think of what an illegal is taking advantage of while in the USA and living on our dime.

Food, housing, clothing, utilities, health and other things we all know don't come for free. They purposefully have kids here so they can stay and raise hose a and hose b. I have a friend who hires an illegal to clean his house and she had a whole slew of them here. It's like a mini Mexico everywhere she goes.

Those people need to GTFO. In my neighborhood...things have started disappearing from around people's houses that have been there for years. We have seen lawn chairs missing from one guy's house in the yard of an immigrant (legal?). How do we know it was his? He painted it. It was missing when the police went door knocking. They must have seen us taking notice.
In another neighborhood not far away, the next door neighbor of a friend died and we were given permission to clean out what we wanted, We were scrapping lots of metal from the various things the guy had around the yard and one day some Spanish speaking fellows from somewhere were in the yard taking things illegally - stealing. They broke a lock and hasp to get into the yard and ran off as fast as they could. We never saw them or a vehicle again but found they had taken a number of boat parts we had set aside as we ran across them. Police? They laugh if you try to file a complaint as there are too many to chase. Set phasers to kill.

Sad but true.

Let's get back to the basics -what immigration reform?

We have laws on the books that indicate one must go through legal avenues to properly enter this country. It's not a case of "reforming" them but enforcing them!!!!!

Those who come here without going through the proper channels are criminals and need to either be exported or incarcerated.

What is so terribly difficult about that?

And, if anything has been illegal, it's the president's use of regulations to circumvent the laws he swore an oath to uphold!!!!!

He promised the other day that he would march with them if that's what's going to take to grant them citizenship.

Thank God for the House GOP, and its secure majority during the remainder of Barack Obama's presidency. The 2010 mid-terms are the gift that keep on giving!

Plus, if we are simply trying to allow more immigrants here legally why the focus on Mexicans and Guatemalans? What makes them so special over immigrants from other Nations?

Sounds like Obama is trying to turn this into another Civil Rights Movement. Come on Obama that was about black citizens not illegal alien invaders. What kind of president marches with lawbreakers?
