but we're supposed to be concerned about overall safety. why cherry-pick our security measures? we can have massive immigration and only have a handful of potential terrorists come through. on the other hand, we've already seen the damage terrorists have been able to do via airports and airplanes, right? if anything, anti-terrorism & pro-security people should be calling for stricter airport reform first and foremost. do you agree?
your statement is like having a space heater on the couch covered with blankets and on high. While you know it might catch on fire, your not concerned because your oven was the one that caught on fire last time, so your only going to watch and unplug that.
how do you know only a handfull of Terrorists have come through? What if its in the hundreds, or thousands now?

you really have no basis for saying that. even if thousands of terrorists have come through our southern border, they haven't done anything.
but my original line of questioning still stands: do you support anti-terrorism measures (in addition to a wall) for airports and legal immigration? should we not shut them down to fully eliminate any threat of terrorism? i mean, youre space heater only needs one blanket to catch fire, right?
9/11. Those Terrorist came here LONG before the actual attack. It took years of planning. They went to schools etc before they took over the planes. Yes, They are planning and I think they are waiting for Iran to make a move or give the go ahead.
"Anything"? You absolutely sure about this? Anything?
To me, organizing and planning are "something" -
So, assuming thousands of terrorists have come across our borders, I would suggest that they are doing "something"
you dont know that theyre organizing or planning anything.
besides, there is a huge difference between planning something and carrying it out. theres probably tons of people planning bad things all over the country. what are we going to do about them?
There are terrorist cells everywhere in the U.S. and elsewhere. This border problem is just adding to the number of terrorists that we have.
do you have a source for this information?
Quote:
Why wouldn't a terrorist go over the border from Mexico, since it's such an easy thing to do? They're not stupid - just insane.
why didnt all the 9/11 hijackers come in through mexico if its so easy? why do we have this apparent abundance of terrorist cells with absolutely no action?

thats an interesting theory. what information helped you draw that conclusion?
fyi - the terrorists are predominantly saudi arabian. why arent we there?

This is a correct statement. They aren't stupid, just insane. I'm hoping the border fence can go up as planned as soon as possible. However, it probably won't happen until after the elections, and only then IF the right person is put into office.
