No, I would not. I have not. I would not jump over the counters at immigration checkpoints at airports either.

The idea is to do it in a remote area, and hopefully a U.S. citizen would be more prepared then the average coyote led IA.

Is it illegal to cross at a non-checkpoint, even if you're a citizen? I actually hadn't thought of that before.

Yes it's illegal. Tho it'd be real easy to cross between Canada and the US since there's no fence and, the actual border probably ain't that well marked in the boonies.
