True. Not that long ago, American citizens cleaned hotel rooms. Picked lettuce. We're not talking about folks with high level, tough to replace skill sets.
Sure send a few vets out there to pick your dang lettuce... Why not?
. What american do you think wants to do these jobs. Farmers need workers. Who do you think is going to do that work.
Americans often do that work. Hotels I stay at employ American citizens. My so's future son-in-law worked on a farm for many years, as do many American citizens in her region.
We didn't starve from 1924-1965, when our borders were far more closed then they have been since. That is because US citizens , by the millions, worked on farms.
No the economy would not be fine. Have you not seen the studies. Who do you think does the grunt work like cleaning toilets and making beds in hotel rooms, cleaning homes and businesses....etc. What american do you think wants to do these jobs. Farmers need workers. Who do you think is going to do that work.
Are you serious? Don't you think Americans did those jobs before and will do them again-- once they become available?
I have never understood this argument, because I prefer an American to have these jobs rather than an illegal.
Our country has always been great. Sorry you felt otherwise. But a lying narcissist and a white supremacist as his confidant won't make us great....just the opposite. It makes us the laughing stock of the whole world.
If our country has always been great (which I agree) why do liberals bash the 1950s?
If our country has always been great (which I agree) why do liberals bash the 1950s?
Do they? I have no idea why and haven't seen anything about it.
