The chief justice of California's Supreme Court accused federal immigration authorities of "stalking" local courthouses on Thursday, joined a growing chorus of officials objecting to immigration detentions at courthouses.

In a letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly, state Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye asked the federal government to immediately stop detaining suspected undocumented immigrants at courthouses in California.

Do your job faster ruling on their deportations and they'll be out of your way.

Uh, makes it a lot tougher to try certain Federal cases if the witnesses are deported…

What a loony bin. When you run a sanctuary state where authorities have insisted upon not cooperating with federal immigration authorities, what other recourse does ICE have? Get a clue, ms. chief justice. Thankfully, there is a new order in place and the feds are taking their jobs seriously again.

To be fair: IF any illegal alien's needed for a witness; put that person into detention, NONE of this being allowed to run loose bit.

Presidential executive order should NOT usurp the constitution. Trump clearly discriminates against Muslims and Mexican immigrants. The country that sent the majority of the hijackers were excluded from the barred countries. Federal judges will keep on striking down this illegal order. Mr. Trump needs to focus his energy on common sense immigration reform.

We will see when it hits the supreme court. Hopefully they interpret the constitution correctly. These banned countries don't have a proper government that can issue a passport or valid form of ID. There are dozens of Muslim countries not on the list...the states argue their residents cannot have their families visit or attract students and workers gimmie a break.

ICE agents are guys and gals who flunked out of police academies for local police forces or state police or FBI.

They are poorly educated goons, at best.

They cost the US millions in settlements of lawsuits for abuse of powers, use of excessive force, overstepping laws.
