If you choose not to, don't complain when YOU are living a 3rd world life right here in the US!

BTW....China's middle class is growing fast. Imagine the purchasing power of over 1 billion people. And guess what, so is their military. And guess what, they want to be the next superpower....WAKE UP!
China has a ways to go-----and, its economic gap is widening between its ca. 150 million affluent people and over 1 Billion peasants.

Can someone say unbridled capitalism here?

I strongly sense that China may suffer another 'Cultural Revolution' before it becomes a stable First World nation.

As for India; methinks they will soon surpass China socio-economically----besides, the language uniting that country is English.

20 million illegals in this country and the farmers can't find anybody to pick their crops is a startling statistic. It proves beyond a doubt that the illegals have gone from doing the jobs that Americans won't do to doing the jobs that Americans want. What the farmers want is to bring in some ignorant, desperate migrant workers who will work for awhile for what the farmers want to pay until they wise up and disappear into the shadows on to a better paying job. Then the farmers will need a new crop of desperate migrant workers and so the cycle goes. The trouble is that this "cheap" labor is not so cheap after all when you realize that it is subsidized by the American taxpayers by social services for their families, ER medical, education for their families, even incarceration, anchor babies, etc. Those that walk off into the shadows will have to be dealt with later. And there's always a Democratic politician that will want to make citizens out of them down the road to get their vote.

The price of bringing these guest migrant worker in is too high! The tomato farmer is going to have to come up with some LEGAL workers somewhere or start growing a crop that lends itself to mechinization.

And; I read another source (somewhere here on City-Data posted by ProLogic a while back) that Mx's birthrate is hovering around 2.1 kids these days-------down from ca. 7.2 back in 1962.
That might be the birthrate of Mexico itself but millions of them simply cross the border to give birth in the USA because it's free and then they can claim welfare handouts.

Many who live in Mexico cross over the border to give birth in the USA to get the birth certificates but return to live in Mexico. I doubt the overall birth rate is down that much from the 7.2.
