I would invite you to come to Houston, Tex (or any major city). The amount of immigrants who qualify for FREE Medicare & Medicaid is SHOCKING! Because they didn’t work in this country and some worked “under the table”, their income was VERY LOW. Even if they didn’t work the required 40 quarters for Social Security, they still qualify for SSI and the FREE Medicare. Trump should go after those too. They are stealing from Americans who worked here all of their lives.
No. I DO mean Medicare AND Medicaid. Let’s just say that I’m in the “industry” to know what I’m talking about. There is a category of legal immigrant that qualify for Medicare as an “Uninsured”- suffix M at the end of their claim #. They receive their Part B first and then Part A later- the opposite of native-born Americans. Sadly, insurance companies have formed a cottage industry to market to these people with ultra-rich benefits to strive to offer them even richer benefits. I find it unfair that they receive richer benefits than working people.

I have never heard of the category. Will check that out.

Please do. My understanding is Medicare is insurance for citizens aged 65+, with perhaps the exception of disabled who are receiving SSI. Medicaid is coverage for persons under 65 with low to no income. Medicare is much richer coverage (and why we hear "Medicare for all" by Bernie Sanders and friends).
(To wit, a close friend aged 62 with Diabetes 1 who is considered disabled is not entitled to Medicare. She pays for a private insurance policy.)

I will check. Been busy. I am disabled, under 62, with Medicare, but do not qualify for Medicaid. I receive SSDI, not SSI. Just for your information. It has little bearing on the category that I need to read about.
Edit: a quick read shows that some immigrants may buy Medicare Part B coverage. I'm not done reading, but that was interesting.

I will tell my friend who is considered disabled that she should apply for Medicare. Perhaps her net worth precludes her entitlement, although she is an attorney by trade and insisted a couple of months ago that she is not eligible for Medicare. I know she thoroughly checked out Medicare at the time.
FYI, I will do my own research. My background is HR with many years of benefits administration.
Notice how The Times refers to illegals as "unauthorised immigrants".
