Well said. The big difference is the lack of assimilation. In fact, instead of assimilating, alot of immigrants are expressing outright hatred for the US and its culture. I have worked with and known alot of immigrants--not all of them Spanish-speaking--and every single one of them says that they are here to make money, most of which they Wester-Union back to families in other countries. The money isn't even going back into the US economy (gee, I wonder why we are in a recession?) The immigrants coming to this country are competing with US workers and are lowering standards that US workers have spents decades struggling for. But it all goes back to assimilation. If all workers,--immigrant and non-immigrant--were able to unite, we would probably see a real solution to the problem (maybe even a middle-class again in the US).

I wouldn't call the U.S overpopulated. Yes, there are some cities that are way overpopulated but lets take a look at the midwest. There is so much land that could be inhabited by lots of Americans. The reason they aren't moving into that land is obvious. There are lack of resources there and it's usually very hot during the summer and very cold during the winter.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Economists have already spotted our problem. And it for sure as hell ain't the illegal immigrants.

Not really, the farms here in California have remained. The small farms have been taken down however, and new commercial ones are in place. It's definitely not how it used to be.

And the same amount of farms are required to feed more people as the population swells. At some point, we will reach a point where will will have to import farm products.

I doubt this, the only way this could happen is if all production of agriculture here in the U.S comes to a screeching halt. On the flip side look at Japan, they import all of their things and are prospering as a nation.
