Teachers aren't required to be social workers. It's simply untenable that they are being required to help criminals.

The documentation illegal aliens provide to a school is much better as evidence against them than workers who try to get a job illegally. There is no reason to fear being truthful with a school district, because there are no consequences for being present unlawfully. If they are truthful, not only do they get in, but they get services--not just an American education, but reduced lunch, ESL, a cadre of professionals catering to their needs, etc.

In contrast, illegal aliens trying to get a job routinely buy forged documents, (SS card, driver's license), because they know they can't get hired by legit employers without them. Of course, employers being given these false docs often turn their heads.

See, I believe the schools get more money for enrolling more students and for enrolling more poor students.

In addition, I honestly do not mind illegal immigrants enrolling their children unless the children cause trouble.

Someone on the 'net gave me stories from Mexican public schools- severely out of date textbooks, deadbeat teachers, harsh corporal punishments...

I do not blame the illegal immigrants for coming to the U.S. I absolutely understand their plight. I detest the legal paradox that they are stuck in; they are technically illegal, so the businesses may exploit them.

"
Immigrant students do not have to show documentation of US residency status to enter school, under Chancellor's Regulation A-101 1.5. Moreover, New York City schools are barred from asking about or discussing immigrant status with a parent or student. See also Advocates for Children's guide to immigrant students' rights. For information about classes designed for immigrant students, see our page on English language instruction."

I.E. Illegal immigrants are allowed in New York City public schools

The heart of this problem is the EMPLOYERS of the parents of these kids.
It is NOT the kids' fault.
Meatpackers, large farms, fast food places...until we give up our "guest worker" habit, this will continue.

No it's not the kids faults, it is the businesses, illegals and the people that support them.

The Supreme court ruled in 2003 that illegal alien children are entitled to a public education under the 14 th amendment. Equal Protection under the law. I think the reason is that these people will stay here and we will have a very undeducated sub class of people and with the way things stand, not deporting and not closing the border, its best to educate them, the better educated the better citizens and the more money someone makes the more taxes and SOCIAL SECURITY they pay.

Just FYI but in Colorado Department of Social Services is also NOT required to report illegal immegrants... many or our families are illegal therefore cannot get the services we usually refer to... there are MANY MANY out there...but many of the children are legal as they were born after the families arrived here...

We should not be forced to subsidize Mexico's population because of their inability to create a livable successful society.

Why should we be forced to deal with all the gang and crime they are bringing to our country?

There should be a retroactive law that gets rid of the anchor babies. As it is we have illegals coming in here and literally pumping out kids which we all pay for.

Have a guest worker program with no path to citizen, have a kid you go home, no handouts, commit a crime you're out of here. Restrict immigration to those who have something to offer not those who become a drain.

we can't even properly educate americans in places like the bronx, and many other bad school districts nationwide. we need to take care of americans first, then when that is sorted help out others, not destroy all of us in the process. the problem is the ins doesn't do anything. they want them here. it is insanity
