During slavery times:
The output per enslaved worker was responsible for roughly a fifth of the growth in commodity output per capita for the United States as a whole between 1839 and 1859—between 18.7 percent and 24.3 percent. At the latter end of this time period, in 1859, enslaved Americans accounted for only 12 percent of the U.S. population.https://equitablegrowth.org/new-rese...the-civil-war/

BTW after the civil war and slavery ended, White Farmers in so many cases could not find enough workers, both black and white and started bringing in Mexican workers: During multiple periods of economic crisis, the U.S. economy has depended on Mexican labor. The Bracero Program began during World War II during a massive labor shortage largely due to the military draft and the internment of Japanese Americans, a high percentage of whom worked in agriculture. Over 4.5 million contracts were awarded to over 2 million young male Mexican immigrants from 1942 to 1964 to work primarily in agriculture. The work of braceros, or “individuals who work with their arms,” to harvest fruits and vegetables across the United States was deemed essential. It was the largest guest worker program agreement in U.S. history. President Franklin Roosevelt noted, “Mexican farmworkers, brought to the United States in accordance with an agreement between our two governments,… are contributing their skill and their toil to production of vitally needed food.”https://spice.fsi.stanford.edu/news/...ural-workforce
We have unlimited visas for legal, foreign farm workers today so what's your point?

There seems to be a lot of talk about passports to Legally enter another country and lets not forget that recently some countries demanded a Vaccine Passport.

This is another sticking point. The "migrants" streaming across our Border have not been vaccinated for Covid and probably so many other diseases yet they are allowed in BUT that guy that is processing them through had better have had his shots OR he will be fired. Biden has been flying hundreds of thousands of "Migrants" all over the country. I wonder if they had to show their vaccine passport or regular passport or even a "Real ID" to get on that plane?

The Feds are giving Illegal Aliens special Rights that are not afforded to the average citizen.

My state has been bending over backwards for the 50 that Desantis sent to Martha's Vineyard. They have been rolling out the red carpet for them. The 50 have everything they desire from food, clothes, shopping trips to the Mall and a Bar on a chartered bus and spending money in their pockets. They have never had it so good. I'm sure there are many citizens that are thinking about going to Mexico and then sneaking back in to the US to have their every need fulfilled for FREE.

Many here are also talking about Immigrants coming to America over the last few hundred years and the big difference between those Immigrants and the ones today is that the ones today are being handed everything they need to live. If the "migrants" of today that entered Illegally thought that they would end up on the street like so many down on their luck Americans would they even come here? The Feds have made it far too comfortable for these Illegal Aliens. The Immigrants of old did not have the safety nets of welfare so they were forced to work hard so they would not end up in the gutter. Heck the 50 from MV even have their own Immigration Lawyers.

The Democrats are making it far too easy for Illegal Aliens and until they stop molly coddling them we are going to keep seeing the masses flowing in. Meanwhile those that seek LEGAL Immigration still have to get in line, pay their fees and fill out all the paperwork while they wait and wait and wait.

How is this fair?

Btw, why do you pick and choose A year? Why don’t you total up the number the last 10 years ? Would that be a more accurate description of the number of refugees or asylums each country received?
I answered your question. Why don't you give us your answer to this latest question? And be accurate. The USA is not even close to its own self defined refugee ceiling, is it?

Wrong. Once you are in the EU, you do not need a passport to travel between EU States. You would know this if you ever traveled there.

Guess what. It works the same way for a Canadian wanting to go to the USA. It's a criminal offence. In both countries. Neither wants convicted criminals entering.

That same Canadian can fly into Mexico and then walk across, and probably get a free flight to their final destination in the US.

They didn't even have to present proof of a negative test, or vaccine status.
