Immigration, both legal and illegal, is damaging the environment of the United States.
While too much population growth can do that we can still base our legal immigrant quotas on allowing them into our country for skilled jobs where there is a shortage of American workers. There isn't much of a shortage of American workers for skilled jobs that pay a liveable wage though. We could use more doctors for example but again the demand for them goes right back to exploding population growth and much of that has been due to illegal immigration.
If illegals were so "valuable" States would be fighting over them, instead they are shipping them out during the night on buses to other States.
The people that the morons Abbott and DeSantis are fraudulently shipping all over the place are in the United States legally, waiting on adjudication of their asylum claims. If I were Biden, I would arrest both Abbott and DeSantis on some charge, and lose them in the Federal Prison in Florence Colorado.

Asylum seekers may be in our country legally but why should the border states have to deal with them including covering their upkeep? The border states already have millions of illegals in them to deal with.

No, I am retired and haven't ever owned a business but I know plenty of business owners who are honest and hire skilled and unskilled Americans. There is no justification for hiring illegal aliens for any jobs in our country as it's against the law. You know, those pesky things called laws that are in place for good reasons?
This country is so pathetic, I just do not know what to say. Its over, try to move somewhere else if you value the rest of your life.
I don't think the country is "pathetic" because there are still Millions of decent people that have been forced to live and accept that Elected Elites are trying to bury America.
What really gets me is there any other country in the world that has such open borders? Is there any other country that puts the Rights of "migrants" over the well being of its own citizens and Legal Immigrants? Is there any other country that spends Billions of Tax payer dollars to ensure that the Illegal Aliens have everything they desire?
THAT is what is pathetic. That our Elite Elected are encouraging, enabling and welcoming in Millions of "New Americans" every year.
What is really crazy is how the Dems are so concerned about the Climate BUT they are allowing Millions of people to come from 3rd world countries and enter and become part of this one that is one of the biggest polluters on the planet? An Illegal Alien walking across the Border today with nothing but the clothes on his back will be fast tracked by Biden and he will be driving a big smog producing truck tomorrow...
This article is 4 years old. Let's say these numbers hold true. Since biden took office, over 600,000 future prisoners snuck into or were allowed into our country. Time to treat the threat at the southern border as a military invasion. The risk of not doing so endangers many Americans who will end up being victims of violent crime at the hands of illegals.

On the other, they would rather the workers be illegal; as that is where their intrinsic value stems from. Exploitation works much better when your illegal.

Not sure what you mean by this country is addicted to illegal immigrants, etc. Yes, the greedy employers want them and the Democrats want future voters but the rest of us who are law abiding Americans want our immigration laws enforced.
Yes, our government needs to re-think the path they are putting us on as they are leading us down the path of disaster in regards to massive population growth, increased poverty and a complete transformation of our country politically, demographically and culturally. It's going to come back to bite them in the butt.
I wonder if Biden would be so welcoming if a couple bus loads of illegal aliens were dropped off in front of his home in Delaware....I guess maybe he wouldn't care because he had the federal government funded wall built around his home to keep them out.
