Followed closely by Mexico which is second only to us in obesity rates.

Americans cannot afford to work at extremely low wages or have an aversion to collecting welfare handouts while working hard - something the illegals don't mind in the least.

Face it -- it takes a certain amount of money to make it here in this country and our country has a very high cost of living. It's become difficult for a married couple with high school diplomas and minimum wage jobs to make it and support one or two children because the costs of health care alone are so high in this country.

The only way that illiterates with no more than a 3rd grade education in their own country but now ours, who can never learn English or much else can have much larger families than citizens and also accept the lowest wages imaginable is by also accepting tons of food stamps, Medicaid, WIC and much more.

OK? I think a big part of your problem here is that you, for some reason, really think that with less restrictive immigration 500 million poor people would come here for the opportunity to leech off you. That's simply not true, and quite frankly it says something about you that you think it is. Right now, illegal immigrants risk their goddamn lives to come here to make crappy wages and live miserable lives just so they can help their families.

Nobody dreams of one day coming to America so they can get food stamps.

Oh pleaseeeee!!!

Very few illegals risk their lives to come here but if they do it's because of their lust for big easy money.

No one had them produce children they couldn't afford but we all know that many abandon those children after leaving them behind. "El burro se cansa" means that the monthly wire may soon come to a halt, often starts getting uttered when the illegal meets a new girlfriend at the club, or starts eyeing up some nice car he could buy if only the wife and kids weren't so darned greedy for his money.....

Most illegals don't come through the desert and if they risk their lives with smuggling groups, they know full well that these groups are criminal and greedy types associated with the cartels. Funny how they'll come up with $5000 to pay a smuggler when many American citizens don't have that kind of cash laying around.

Many come simply by getting shopping or other visitor passes and then just staying on forever. No risk whatsoever in that.

Big easy money eh? Is that living off welfare? I suggest you hit it up if it's such a kush life. Or were you talking about working jobs like the ones in GA that no Americans will take?

Should be a sign of how bad they want to get here to work and pursue a life for their family.

Most Americans wouldn't want to work 3000 miles away from their wife and kids - and many Mexicans and Central Americans who do will eventually abandon the wife and kids.

Yes they come for the good easy money because in order to be middle class or have the middle class standard of living in their own country, they would have to stay in school (their countries have schools), they would have to delay the start of their families until they finished school, learned some job skills, married and had a job - and limit family size to what they could afford.

Here it's much easier. Have 8 kids you could never afford? Easy - here are food stamps, Medicaid, WIC coupons. There - back home it would mean hard work if you didn't stay in school.

Really if they just wanted to work hard, they could work hard back home. Back home doesn't have the free food and free health care we give them.

So, by the same criteria you couldn't participate in a poll about Americans

I'm guessing you really don't know what it's like for them back home.

You think they won't take what is readily available? Really? Why does other Countries blatant over breeding have to be our problem? Would you start a family if you knew full well you couldn't provide for them?

Tell me, do you think the number of total jobs will grow, shrink or stay the same?
