After listening to all three debates, I'm wondering why the issue of illegal immigration was not mentioned ONE SINGLE TIME with either candidate, nor was either one asked the question. I find this absolutely scary that both presidential candidates are keeping their mouths shut about this issue when it's one of the most important things affecting life in this country. Is there some kind of conspiracy or something to keep quiet about this? Especially when Obama brought up the fact that everybody's insurance premium has gone up $900 or so a year due to the fact that uninsured people run to the emergency rooms for any and all health care and then don't pay. Well who the heck are these "people"? I'm sure a giant chunk are illegals. Why is this not even hinted at? And you would especially think McCain, representing Arizona, a border state, would have something to say about the topic. Apparently not.

Because they're both pro-amnesty.

This is true. But, the fact that the moderators of these debates do not even broach the subject tells me that the truth is much deeper.

The media, politicians, and corporate lobbyists are in bed with each other and do not want this issue brought up.

Both McAmnesty and the Obamination are pro-open borders cretins who goose step right in line with Bushie's amnesty plan.

McCain courts Hispanic voters - CNN.com

Obama continues Hispanics push - 2008 Presidential Campaign Blog - Political Intelligence - Boston.com

In a show of complete and total ignorance, both candidates ASSUME all Hispanics are pro-illegal immigration.

The ideas of this particular political subculture aren't taken seriously because they can't be taken seriously. None of the actual solutions to the immigration situation are to be found here. There are some bigger fish to fry first, but hopefully there will be some advances on immigration over the next two years. It's a significant problem. I wouldn't necessarily look for another package of grand unified comprehensive reform, however. We've been down that road before and came away with only wasted effort. Maybe expect more of a bit-by-bit stealth campaign this time around...

Don't forget, nearly every single subject has been put aside other than the economy with the Dow falling from 11000 to 8500 in only 2 weeks. If the illegals were protesting like they did in 2006 this would be a bigger issue. If they don't cry not as many people care or pay attention.

Wrong. It is no mistake that the raids and deportations have stepped up this year. Who do you think stopped amnesty and the DreamAct dead in its tracks twice? Wishful thinking on the part of illegal aliens and their anchors will not make reality go away.

Illegal immigration is linked to the mortgage crisis and other pocket book issues. There may have been a time when a lot of Americans were in the dark, thanks to the tanking economy the angry masses are wide awake and growing.

No matter which traitor is elected, any mention of amnesty or secret voting during the night will be met with outrage and rejection.
