And for even more pathetic: the language that the MEChA class groups wish to embrace is Spanish-----------the tongue of the White Hispanic Spanish conquistadors. Never mind that the Spaniards treated the Aztecs, etc. like crap.
They have always struck me as a rather confused group of young people who are not exactly sure what it is that they want, but continue to make all sorts of outrageous demands anyhow.

You may be correct..............much like many of the Fascist groups prior to WW II.
Illegal aliens have caused more American deaths than the KKK ever did.
The cretins of MECHa can say whatever they want. Every time they open their mouths they are sooooo over the top with their 'the gringo stole our land, go back to Europe white devils' type rhetoric that they end up angering many Americans who might not otherwise pay much attention to the illegal alien crisis. To tell the truth, they are one of the best weapons we have.
And drunk drivers have caused more American deaths than the KKK ever did!
And the American Army has killed more children than the KKK ever did!
KKK didn't even kill that many people, theyre not even all that bad!
"Illegal Aliens" aren't an organization. It's just an umbrella term used to describe people who have overstayed their visits, or come here without the correct papers.
Aren't we talking about MeCha..which is an extremist college group formed by Chicano college students?
Again, I never defended MeCha's message. Of course they have an outrageous position. But you guys are obsessed with them.
Your obsession is clearly because they fit the image you guys want for your enemy. So even though the group is obscure, and has little, if any, influence on politics or the Latino community, you guys clutch on to them because they benefit your propaganda.

Whether you like it or not, any and all illegal aliens are here in violation of US immigration laws. When MECHa, NCLR or any other groups lobbies on behalf of hispanic illegal aliens what they are doing is throwing their weight behind millions of lawbreakers. Frankly, I can think of no other ethnic advocacy group that goes so far out of it's way to try and bend the rules for people who have broken US laws, often multiple times. (using a forged/stolen ID is a felony, it is against the law to drive without a license and drivers insurance, it is against the law to be paid under the table with no taxes deducted from your check, it should be against the law to run up thousands in medical bills and walk off, leaving the US taxpayer holding the bag and so on) I know of no Native American, Asian American, African American or white group that so rabidly defends the actions of people who show a blatant disregard for US law.
The vast majority of illegal aliens are from south of the border. Let me ask you this- what is it that is so special about illegal hispanics? Why should they be permitted to illegally enter the US and demand that we give them amnesty? Why let them stay at all? There are literally billions of people scattered across the globe who would also like to have a chance at a better life. The fact that illegal hispanics happen to live in closer proximity to the US in no way makes them any more valuable as potential citizens than a family from Indonesia, Poland or South Africa.
The bottom line is that we do not need more poor people. There are many, many people in the US living in poverty in our cities, on Native American reservations and in Appalachia just for starters. IMO, we should not be doing other countries a favor by taking their poor people off their hands until we have done the right thing for our own impoverished citizens. And we have not. If after we have helped our own people, we decide to allow X number of people from poor countries to come to the US, then these people should come from different areas of the world. That to me seems much more fair and a far better path than granting amnesty to people who have ignored our laws and taken advantage of us.
so now illegals are the same as a campus org? and they are the same as luh-rah-suhhhh?
wow you guys really know very little. and care to learn even less.
all these groups are different and all members are different.
you guys are basically lumping all these groups together because they are latino. thats like grouping ALPHA KAPPA ALPHA with the NAACP, the UNCF, the peoples, the muslims, and all other BLACK groups. you guys assume its a monolith and they all think the same! wow, thats the stupidest assumption ever.
the fact still stands that you know nothing about this woman, and you make assumptions about her because she works for an adovacy group. you dont know where she stands on any position. all you guys do is jump to conlcusions. this thread is hopeless.
when you guys have something concrete to beech about, let me know. in the meantime this is no big deal.

Where does she stand on illegal immigration? Where does her organization -- and I forget, is it the National Organziation of La Raza or La Raza or The National Association of La Raza? -- stand on illegal immigration? Please tell me that they and she are not for wholesale amnesty....
And despite what a fellow illegal apologist would say, there is such thing as branding even for non profit groups, and if these many organizations with 'la raza' in the name are not affiliated and do not share a similiar platform, then their names would in fact be as different as they could be. That they are not shows an allegiance to one another. That is why PETA and the NRA have only one word in common -- association. That is why the NAACP and the KKK have nothing in common in what they chose to name themselves. If there is no commonality, why name themselves similiarly?

Sarcasm, which would have been more detectable if read in context.
