Here's a good thread over at SOS:

Quote:
We here at SOS talk about the invasion from Mexico and other Latin American countries alot, but there is another invasion that is happening very quickly and very quietly and spreading 3rd World Conditions also. I'm talking about the Asian Invasion. Those of us who live in San Francisco and the Bay Area can tell you all about it.

Here we go again. I really wish he'd stop posting altogether, because it's all he says.

I know, you cant have an opinion because you will be called a racist. I didnt see any derogatory terms used, just the fact that people dont like their home being changed so drastically. I happen to enjoy China Town, but dont want it all over the place. I enjoy much of their culture and food yes, but if you come here legally you really need to try to assimulate as much as you can.

They have been coming here along time and making California a Third World Country and have been long before the Mexicans. I am just not sure how many poor people of different cultures we are going to have to take care of before we realize we are no longer the NATION that was founded!!

Indeed. And like the poster at SOS stated, he doesn't mind Chinatown, but when all of San Franciso becomes China, that's a different story. I think most people here would agree with that.

Asians have the highest household incomes of any racial demographic in the United States. Whites, ranked second, trail on average by about $13,000. Asians also have the highest personal incomes, by a few thousand dollars, as estimated in 2005. Though only accounting for about 5% of the U.S. population, about 49% of Asians have a Bachelor's degree. Only 24% of the general U.S. population attains a Bachelor's.

I guess they're not as poor, uneducated, and third worldly as many of you generalize.

Asians are indeed the highest earning ethnic group per capita in the U.S., which makes me wonder why they pine so often for affirmative action and insist they're an oppressed minority, while any question of this matter is met by them with hostility. Why can't they compete on a level playing field with Whites, who don't qualify for protected status?
