Agree....our cities have been war zones since before Capone. We are not ones to pass judgment.

Picking crops for a living is probably the only thing that most Americans won't do. For those jobs the farmers can use the unlimited visas to gain legal foreign workers. No, instead just like many employers hiring cheap illegal labor is more profitable for them. It is against the law!

Are you saying that illegals have never been used to mule drugs?
Are you saying that the very same routes used by illegals are not used by drug smugglers?
Imagine what a hurt securing the borders would have on drug trafficing and or illegal drug use?
But I do agree legal immigration has very little to do with the drug problem

Not to mention that the reality is that cost savings are not passed on to the consumer to begin with.

Exactly, and the price of housing didn't go down when the illegals started taking jobs in construction either.

Very true. The greedy contractors pocketed the savings.

Obviously, you don’t realize the profits the greedy employers reap from their illegal workforce are not shared with consumers. After all, they ARE greedy, and greedy people tend to also be selfish.

If anything, we will have less salmonella and other outbreaks from illegals relieving themselves on our crops. Perhaps you haven’t noticed there hasn’t been a decline in food prices. I don’t know about your region of the country, but in my area, prices, including fruit and veggies, continue to climb. If we were truly benefiting from massive cheap labor, lettuce would cost $.05 a head.

To an extent they are, much of how to an extent Walmart's prices are lower. It really does depend on the demographic and the item.

That's not a given. Salmonella and illegal immigration do not go hand in hand. There has been a slight decline in food prices nationally, due to the recession.

To be fair, there is much speculation, on both sides, considering illegal immigrants and farming.
