It's interesting that our incompetent, dysfunctional, corrupt, for sale to the highest special interest group, and any other derogatory term I left out, fed gov can't come up with ideas like giving ICE priority to finding as many big as a cow pregnant illegal Mexican women as they can and escorting these pregnant illegal Mexican women, and their impregnators, BACK to Mexico BEFORE they give birth. Do it enough times and a significant number of illegal Mexican women will think twice before getting pregnant, as big as a cow pregnant illegal Mexican women would then become flagged as prime candidates for deportation. Now that's thinking out of the box.

I agree to a certain extent- these organizations are fronts, funded by CORPORATIONS to keep wages low. Politicians are in bed with corporations. These people are BREAKING THE LAW. I've started emailing my senator and congresspeople. This illegality and lawlessness needs to stop NOW.

ITA. Unfortunately, the corporate crooks, ethnocentric special interest groups and lobbyist own and run our government and this country.

For years, many of us have been emailing, faxing, calling (and in my case I have visited my senator) to complain about the travesty known as illegal immigration in this country. So far we have defeated two amnesty bills and the passage of the DREAMAct.

Keep up the good work. We need as many concerned Americans as possible to stop all amnesty bills brought to the senate floor.

If I held up a bank because I was 'looking for a better life for my family', I wonder how long it would take for me to be in jail??? Is that not what every illegal immigrant (race not important) is doing? BREAKING THE LAW, no matter how sad their hard luck story?

Massive low-skill immigration works to counteract government anti-poverty efforts. While government works to reduce the number of poor persons, low-skill immigration pushes the poverty numbers up. In addition, low-skill immigration siphons off government anti-poverty funding and makes government efforts to shrink poverty less effective.

Low-skill immigrants pay little in taxes and receive high levels of government benefits and services. The National Academy of Sciences has estimated that each immigrant without a high school degree will cost U.S. taxpayers, on average, $89,000 over the course of his or her lifetime. This is a net cost above the value of any taxes the immigrant will pay and does not include the cost of educating the immigrant’s children, which U.S. taxpayers would also heavily subsidize.

In this way, the roughly six million legal immigrants without a high school diploma will impose a net cost of around a half-trillion dollars on U.S. taxpayers over their lifetimes. The roughly five million illegal immigrants without a high school diploma will cost taxpayers somewhat less because illegal immigrants are eligible for fewer government benefits. However, if these illegal immigrants were granted amnesty and citizenship, as proposed by the Bush Administration and legislated in a recent Senate-passed immigration bill (S. 2611), they could cost taxpayers an additional half-trillion dollars. In total, all immigrants without a high school education could impose a net cost on U.S. taxpayers of around one trillion dollars or more. If the cost of educating the immigrants’ children is included, that figure could reach two trillion dollars.

The poverty and other problems associated with mass low-skill immigration would be of less concern if they could be expected to quickly vanish in the next generation. Unfortunately, the evidence indicates that this will not occur. For example, the low levels of education, high levels of poverty, and high levels of out-of-wedlock childbearing found among Hispanic immigrants since 1970 persist among native-born Hispanics in the U.S. to a considerable degree.

These data indicate that the current influx of low-skill immigrants will raise poverty in the U.S. not merely at the present time, but for generations to come. Current low-skill immigrants will raise both the absolute number of poor persons and the poverty rate in the U.S. for the foreseeable future. The greater the inflow of low-skill immigrants, the greater the long-term increase in poverty will be.

Lets see. Each years crop of anchor babies is at least 300,000 times say about $10,000 a year in instant welfare for each new anchor is 3 BILLION a year for each new crop of anchors. 3 BILLION times 18 years of welfare is 48 BILLION, the total cost to American taxpayers for each new yearly crop of anchors. That used to be a lot of money.

Now lets see. Just how many crop of anchors has there been?

Does anyone actually think that anything will be done about the 48 BILLION yearly welfare expenditures on anchor crops? No? I don't either. The totally corrupt DYSFUNCTIONAL fed gov, bought off by the various competing special ethnocentric interest groups, has long ago become unanswerable to the people. The fed gov, run by the elite ruling class and a bunch of sorry ass politicians, only interested in acquiring wealth for themselves and getting reelected, is taking the country down the path to ruination. And then, as long as the Democratic politicians, who now control the fed gov, view these crops of anchor babies as mostly future Democratic voters, nothing will change on the anchor baby industry front.

How about abolition of it? I am a descendant of slaves and I find the abuse and deliberate misinterpretation of this amendment very offensive. Despite the fact that no illegal alien is "under the jurisdiction. . . " of the US, it is virtually impossible for children born in the US to two illegal alien parents to be declared citizens of this country.

Two illegal aliens cannot procreate an American.
