Have you ever heard of marijuana ever killing anyone?? I haven't.... Not necessarily saying it's good for you but I think its effects are blown way out of proportion.

If anything kills you, it is doing dumb things with high or intoxicated which is the rule for alcohol and many other substances as well. I have never heard of any direct Marijuana deaths.

I think one would fall asleep before the lethal levels of THC could be reached.

Don't want to start a political debate, but I voted yes because I don't think Government has the right to tell you what you can and can't consume... Well, at least for people who are already 18 years old, maybe restrictions for kids who aren't old enough to make informed decisions are fine.

So if MJ was legal, would the smoking of it be banned in many public places like cigarettes are?

If you say no, you are a hypocrite.

It seems hypocritical just simply banning it. Many people are against it as a knee-jerk reaction. Alcohol is just as, if not more, idiotic. No, it should not be a public nuisance. But then again, god forbid we use common use to just let people smoke / drink / snort / inject what they want without meddlesome nuisances. The problem is when people abuse it. This cannot be regulated, but the knee-jerk reactions should be moderated to avoid these sanctimonious responses.

Tony, Seems to me that an "open container" style marijuana regulation would be most appropriate.

There was a story in not to long ago that talked about an infant ingesting resin and going into a coma.

An infant is hardly comparable to an adult with a fully developed central nervous system.
