I personally see no problem having someone at a clinic draw blood if they have been trained to do so, but obviously at this time, that isn't good enough. If there was a cover-up, it will come out. Cops talk to friends/spouses, text messages get sent, and those third parties talk. All of this will come out in a civil suit, so we shall see.
not saying that. I am saying if any IMPD officer causes the death of a citizen like how officer Bisard did he should be discharged. Its one thing to drive drunk. Its another thing to drive drunk and kill someone.

all you would have to do is change the rule slightly. Cause i am sure very few IMPD officers kill the citizens like Bisard. Cause i see what your saying with the Mayor abusing power.

I dont think basard was drunk. I do think he was texting and driving which is now against the law. The police should be held to a higher standard and i still see cops talking on their phones while driving. Phone next to their ears. Police should have a policy against that. They should have had a policy against texting and driving years ago too. Too much reactionary policies when it comes to public officals. Make police and other public officals be more professional and alot of these issues go away.

Exactly. there should be no holding a cell phone well talking etc. We have bluetooth hands free calling these days. Cops have the honor of protecting the citizens many many people look up to them as role models.

I'm an Independent so I'm open to voting for either of them. However, what Ballard has done with the parking meters in this city has me inclined to vote for anyone who runs against him.

What about the parking meters did he hike the rates or just update the system?

Edit: you cant like everything a politician does like Ballard or anyone for that matter. However does Kennedy have a Realistic plan for the city. The Mayor can't do squat to the education system except holding parents accountable for truancy.

This isn't 100% correct. The Mayor of Indianapolis was actually given special powers when it comes to education. The Mayor of Indy can actually charter schools.

Not saying it is much, but it is something.

No Child Left Behind is the most stupid thing that Bush could pass i believe the Republican party even called him on it. No Child Left Behind is good on paper but not in reality especially when you cant fund it.
