None of these are the cool neighborhoods. Get ready for suburbia haters to ridicule this.

The information presented around the article is really out of date. They mention Acton Elementary as a landmark in Acton. Well, it was closed due to financial issues in the township and has been closed for at least the last year or more. So I guess it is just that a "landmark".

These stories are what I call "filler". Useless.

Closed yes, landmark yes but still doesn't negate how safe it is or franklin twshp overall.

This list is based strictly on crime rate. I don't know about Meridian-Kessler, but I know Castleton doesn't have a low crime rate. There are a lot of car break-ins around the mall and all the retail outlets alone that would push its crime rate too high for this list.

That is because it is a retail hub. By default, those crimes are more common in an area like Castleton, and the rate is skewed by the influx of non-residents that frequent an area like that. That doesn't mean Castleton is unsafe, it means Castleton has a giant mall and lots of visitors.

That's what I was trying to say. I wasn't trying to imply Castleton isn't safe. Just trying to explain that all the retail would push it's crime rate higher than these areas that are much more residential. You said it much better than I was able to!
