I have a Twitter account, but seldom use it. I do use the Twitter Search on Goo++ Compact Multi Search

Seems like a plausible rumor. Given that neither side has denied it, it wouldn't surprise me if it happens.

I'd much rather see Google buy Facebook and get rid of the CEO there that is trying to make Facebook more like Twitter.

I read the article and I can see why it may be valuable but I still don't get twitter. In 140 characters or less can someone tell me why people use twitter?

Because it's an email list, alert/info service and advice gatherer for wireless phones.
