2 months, yes.

Exhibit A, BHB: + 7.89%, NOT including today. (stoopid Morningstar chart.) I'm still down, overall, with the thing. But it's a high-conviction hold for me. I just added to it, about a week or so ago. Brought cost basis down.

How many of these banks rely on brokered CDs paying top interest for the bulk of their deposits? I've heard there is concern because this money moves faster and more frequently, but I suppose they can steal their retail customers blind and pretend the branches make money. I'm holding NYCB..at a 52 week high. Been a strange ride.

And still at a -31% discount, per Morningstar? Whoa.
I've been watching DCOM, out of Long Island. -41% discount.

They really did get beat up. Still recovering. I steer clear of the Too Big To Fail behemoths AND the larger mid-sized ones. Seems to me, the smaller players have less available cash to play "games" with.

OMG.

More bank trouble?

Maybe there's a knock-on effect today with the bank sector? My BHB was down. All the Indices were UP, but most of my crap was down. ENERGY did well. PRNEX. And my Aluminum player: Norsk Hydro. NHYDY. My biggest (by far) holding was up by just a nickel. PRWCX. Otherwise, I'd have been down for the day. Truth is stranger than fiction. I'm grumpy, after seeing these numbers. I'm up a scant 0.06% today.

Glad I bought that 3x levered regional bank ETF! Making so much money without using your analytical model! Up 45% in KEY and 70% in my levered regional ETF.

it just proves the obvious , no one can predict what’s next .

sometime predictions pan out and most times they don’t ..

if anyone here could predict wth any great accuracy they would be borrowing every penny they could and get themselves in to the forbes 400.

as far as i know they still have an opening for market timer

Back in the black with BHB Bar Harbor Bank. Tracking BRKL Brookline Bank now.

5 day performance BHB just to make MYSELF feel good: +4.84%.
Ya, if you've been patient, it's paying off lately, now--- since the Fed meeting this week, especially.

I didn’t give you an analytical model though

Also to be fair on 10/25 KEY stock was below where you made your call. it’s up 55% since that time
