Stokes first represented Jackson's Ward 3 from 1989 to 2012. He was elected to the Hinds County Board of Supervisors in 2012, but decided to return to the Jackson City Council in 2015.

To be honest, I don't think the threats are credible, but something has to be done about Stokes.

I don't think anyone on this thread would shed a tear for Stokes if he were removed from office for these comments. One of the few things everyone on here would agree on . . .

After he became a county supervisor, his wife won his seat in a special election. She eventually ran for a county judicial position and won, so Kenneth Stokes won his seat back when a special election was held for her replacement.

I am not sure, but, I dont think he is as poor as ward 3 voters.
Lack of a better (mainly accessibility) choice is a more likely reason than identifying them self with a blabber mouth.
