Guess people aren't interested in the truth. Quiet as a church mouse in here. The other was 5 pages long.

Default But wait! It only gets more surreal

Mayor BabyChok flew to Miami, where he "served on a panel" at a "SmartCity Expo". They discussed infrastructure.

I cannot imagine why anyone would want to discuss infrastructure with BabyChok, unless it was to find out exactly what he'd done, in order for posterity to never, ever, do any of those things, ever again - ever.

Yet there he was.... Jackson Jambalaya: Welcome to Miami

I read the long article that the OP linked, and it was a devastating presentation of how everything went wrong in the drinking water system in Jackson. The involvement of the German industrial giant Siemens in the remote meter reading equipment installation seems like the beginning of a long series of events going "down the drain" (pun intended).

I have not heard any TV news reports in Germany about Siemens involvement in the drinking water disaster, nor read about it in any local newspapers (in Chemnitz, a medium-sized city in eastern Germany). I did a Google search in German to see what I could find, and I found a few articles from big city German newspapers that linked Siemens to the Jackson disaster. I also found lots of newspaper articles that did not include Siemens involvement in the mess!! They just pointed out the poor finances of the city, "white flight", etc, etc. Even the so-called investigative reporting magazine Der Spiegel did not mention Siemens in their article (sorry it is in German, but you will not see "Siemens" in the text to prove my point).

https://www.spiegel.de/panorama/gese...f-e35c906af19c

This was the only article in German media that really laid out the situation in line with the article that was posted by the OP:

Ironically, one of the things I like best about the city where I live in Germany is the delicious, fresh, soft tap water. It comes from reservoirs in protected watershed areas in a hilly region south of the city. It has no odor, no chlorine taste and no fluoride added (there is some natural fluoride in the water).
