I just moved from Hodges and I LOVED that area. I was renting an apartment right off of Atlantic ($830/mo for 1k sq ft 2br 2ba) in a VERY safe area and very well located. About 5-10 minutes from the beaches (just a little farther from baymeadows though)

Hi all. Like the OP, i'm going to be moving to the Jacksonville area soon. I've read what was posted about areas such as Baymeadows and Deerwood.

My question is, what about other areas around baymeadows such as Englewood, Lakewood and Sunbeam? Are their certain areas to avoid?

My wife would like to stay more toward the beach area, but within reasonable distance to downtown for her eventual work. We have no children, just a dog, so all i'm really concerned about is a nice area that is safe.

And suggestions?

I would start a new thread asking your questions.
This thread is almost 2 years old so you might not get many responses.
Also let us know if your looking to rent or buy and what price range your looking for.

Englewood forget (not safe), Lakewood is really nice and Sunbeam is okay, but as Karla said, start a new thread with all your Q's and you'll get the best response...look towards the upper left of this page to "start a new thread" .
