Based on the number of pickups and chubby white guys in undershirts and camouflage baseball caps on my way to work on the Southside this morning, the whole damn city is rednecky!

We do have a huge Monster Truck following in Jacksonville, so much so they have to close down streets due to traffic. Maybe if the Jags had them perform at half time..........................

As for the worst part ... the topic was "rednecky" not the hoods. (which are S of Kings Rd. and Moncrief Ave.)

Between Beaver and Dunn is the northwest side of town.
Maybe I should have said "when people think NEGATIVELY about the Northside"... you gotta admit what goes on in those hoods gives the Northside a bad name. You dont hear of those things happening too often out by Callahan.

And you really cant consider that broad of an area the Northside, even though technically it is part of the city of Jacksonville. Do you consider Baldwin part of Jacksonville or Northside??

Kings road is where the North and West sides start and end. South of US1 is the Paxon area which is the Westside. Beaver Street is all westside...except for the lil piece that ends on Northbank.

CrazyNip; I live just 3 miles north of Baldwin in the area we lovingly refer to as the "Best side" actually, the west county area. And yes its rural rednecky and Ag Centric. We are definitely on the west side of Jax.

FlyiMetro; I wear camouflage caps and shirts, but then I hunt. Went this morning. (didn't get anything this time) Usually I wear a Cleveland Golf hat w/an Ashford golf shirt, but not during hunting season

Dunn Ave. is all North Jax. It's one of the better areas of Northside, although it gets ghetto going east. When you're driving on 95 North, the exit numbers in the 350's lead you into the hood, the 360's exit numbers take you into the Airport area.

Monster Truck Jams are fun...Kids love it. Ive seen the same large crowds here in Atlanta. People like X Games, Monster Trucks, Dirt bikes, Skateboard competitions, PGA Golf, Nascar...people like what they like. Jacksonville should NEVER close down streets...they really need to stop doing that. JSO, COJ need to let the streets flow. They cripple Northbank when they do that.

Hell I got the whole outfit...i have too of them. I never hunt...it was the style when I was younger on 103rd. Most worn in the wintertime. Its just apart of the Jacksonville culture.
