Actually cabs are very popular down here, but mainly within certain segments of Jacksonvilles population (black people, poor people and strippers)

I agree. Jax is borning & bland & most times the way this forum is handled is proof of that. Spice & Flavor is just not allowed or approved of.

JaxJax,

Just read your post and loved it. Great review of Jax in most of it's entirety. I only missed two things...Mayport and the Military aspect of Jax. Other than that, great post. I agree with other posters, very fair and unbiased review!

No, Some sort of personal transportation is a "must have" in Jacksonville.

I used to work for Gator City Taxi, the biggest callers were poor people during foodstamp rush, strippers, truck drivers, waitresses, business travlers going to JIA,illegal runs for prositutes/drugs, party goers, sundat church goers. Hat about covers all the regulars.

No one does hunter camo like Jacksonville. Next to teal, hunter camo is the most dominate worn color.

The highest "mountain" in Florida is ... Mt Everest, at Disney Worlds Everest Expedition.

There are a couple of hills in the panhandle that are taller but they are not mountains!
