You could kinda call me a wandering person...but i do have a set goal. Being out of state its been almost impossible to get into a FL school and study geography/urban planning. So now that i have found it, I will be ready to sink in. I wouldnt say Jacksonville was my first pick...but through statistics and from family that have lived there its the most well working "normal" city in FL.
You should look at what UNF has to offer, they lean more towards government administration but it might mesh with your studies. UNF is very close to JU.

You should like JAX and my advice would be to not expect it to be like up north and to be tolerant of people who have different mindsets.

Nothing annoys me more than people who move to JAX and complain about people who have Gator stickers on their cars or fly NAscar flags or even if they spot a rare confederate flag, or the ones who whine about not being able to find a decent bagel or cheesesteak.

The people that show their feelings about their teams or sports are not hurting anyone and it's part of the scene here, so part of being happy in JAX is to embrace everything that JAX has to offer and deal with it's short comings

yeah im not a huge fan of anything north. Hate every single DC team. Hate all of the phillys teams and baltimore. My favorite team is Gators cause of my cousins and i also like seminoles because of my girlfriend that goes there. Im a southern mindset guy. Just stuck in shear cold where it is going to snow tomorrow and highs are 44. Im just really looking to get away. I am for sure ready for the south and everything it has to offer. But i am definitely not going to be complaining. I think i might even bandwagon the Jags. pathetic? lol

Default Part 2

Quoting a college freshman here in Jacksonville (my daughter) ....

" ... it's pretty cool for a student. .... Jax is really art related .. if [one is] into that kind of thing. It's mostly warm.. sometimes it rains.. and sometimes it's cold.. Only 3 or so hours from Universal and Disney.. [underage college students] can get into clubs, and they monitor who drinks and what not.. ... Yeah I guess FL is a good choice.. it all depends what you're looking for, I guess."
