Interesting, thanks for the update. I was told 50,000 when we moved in, but Neighbors told me they were raising it to 70k. Maybe that was bad information. Club did tell me 4 year wait though, six months ago

Yea, that was the rumor and the waitlist was that long given the fact that no one was resigning their membership. What changed in the last 9 months is that they eliminated/rescinded the Associate Member class and told them to either pay the difference of $40K and what they paid as an initiation years ago (most paid $15k or less) or lose their membership. 70+ associate members elected not to take the offer so tons of people on the waitlist are now coming in.
I suspect they raise the initiation to $75k-$100k once the dust settles.

A good alternative is to not join any club and whenever you want a taste of it, rent a room at Sawgrass Mariott and get free cabana club access along with free shuttle to an from. Makes for a good weekend stay with private club beach access. Then you only have to pay for $20 burgers, $20 cocktails but hey at least you get to see the ocean and dip in the pool.
