I've seen many news stories from across the South about public school system layoffs. Just curious as to when people think we will start seeing layoffs in the Duval, Clay, and St. John's systems?

must have been before I moved down then. Was just curious as my wife gets emails from all her colleagues in other places.

At our budget meeting in March, we were told that there would probably be 4 positions at our school eliminated, but not that many people would be have to leave because there were teachers who were leaving our school, so we just would not replace them. I know that there are two people at our school who will be laid off, and they have been told already.
Once the fiscal year is over (June 30), the schools will know more.
