It won't be a waste of time. The employer will have 100 potential candidates that they can weed out and hopefully hire one qualified individual. Making it a success. The employer has satisfied their need and that one individual has satisfied theirs.
A person would have a better chance of getting a job by walking outside naked with their resume around their neck
how does a pointless questionnaire help the other 99 applicants? if applications were shorter, that time could have been spent filling out ten other applications, maybe more.
I was applying for an position online today and this was the entire application below
First Name
Last Name
Address
City
State
Zip Code
Day time Number
Evening Number
Email
Cover Letter
Resume
SEND APPLICATION
Took 5 mins. Damm why can't all companies be like this? This would make completing online application so much better.
But dude I LOVE FILLING OUT POINTLESS AND NONSENSICAL 100 QUESTION PERSONALITY EXAMS, its like ya "Strongly agree, I Strongly agree oh you bet Strongly agree!"

Why do employers even ASK that?? I always thought that was pretty personal and invasive...
The business gets a tax credit if they hire people who have been on welfare, food stamps, etc.
If you qualify, the business gets money to hire you. Personally, I never let this tax credit affect my hiring decisions. I always hired the best candidate regardless of heir status.
My favorite are the smaller companies on linkedin and dice that will let you apply right off their site without going to specific company site. It's great I just use my linkedin profile, upload resume 30 seconds.

You would think that all this technology it would take hardly any time to apply for jobs online. But many of them are time consuming and buggy. Upload and go sounds great, but I have only ran across a few of those.
