I don't wear stiff-collared shirts and ties often so all my shirts and ties are from thrift shops. You should be able to get many colors and options there.

since it sounds like you aren't comfortable wearing a suit...

Leave the top button undone, use the tie to hold the collar together as best as it can. It won't look as good, but it'll look fine. The important part is that you won't feel as suffocated and won't be trying to mess with it the entire time. It'll let you have one less thing to mess with when you are nervous.

I don't mind wearing a suit at all. In fact, I feel more professional when I wear one. I just don't have a good fashion sense at all.

so grab a fashion magazine, and flip to the most generic suit picture in it, and match their colors?
generic because unless you are a model, some of those flamboyant colors won't work on your build, or in the office
