Are you freaking desnse or just flat out stupid? It's a debt, and it belongs on a credit report just like every other debt. Or do you think that a mortgage delinquency shouldn't be reported, because gee, you need a place to live even if you can't pay for it. It's the same idea.

As I said earlier, I don't believe that medical debts (in most cases) should be part of the credit score, but absolutely they need to be reported.

A person has control over how much they spend on housing; when you're lying unconscious and they're working you over trying to safe your life you are not in control and you think something you are not in control of should be reported. In most cases you have to give your consent to spend money; not in the medical community.

Annerk, wouldn't you be happier in a communist state?

Well I disagree about medical but agree about mortgage. Plus the medical falls off your credit report after 7 years anyway

Why would I be happier in a communist state? Because I think that people need to be more responsible for their own actions and choices in this life than most are?

Not if it's a judgement. Each time you open your mouth you show your ignorance even more. Judgements stay for between 10-20 years, depending on the jurisdiction.

so be it...one day you will be old and when you are old you are not necessarily as healthy as you were 30 or 40 years ago. Maybe then you will feel differently.

I can feel my finger itching to hit ignore.

Well credit card debt falls off because that's what happened to me. When I gradauted college I had $10,000 debt and never paid it and 7 years later it was no longer on my report which is how I got the American Express Card

That's why I'm well insured. It's not all that expensive to buy a variety of insurance products that supplement traditional health insurance and disability policies, considering teh peace of mind they bring.

So you admit to being a deadbeat. My opinion of you just sunk even further.
