Something that has been bothering me for some time, I know people have different ways of looking at it, so I’d like to get others opinions. Why do you think that G-d completely denied Moses ( and Aaron) access to the promised land , when he asked for forgiveness many times and G-d even asked him not to bring it up again.
I’ve been thinking about that because of the recent Parsha and Yom Kippur coming up.( forgiveness)
Why wasn’t he forgiven when he devoted his whole life to delivering the whole nation to the promised land.
He was picked at the burning bush and devoted his whole life to it.
He even pleaded to G-d on behalf of everyone else, for their forgiveness, which was all the time.
All of this was because of one moment of anger.
He had to deal with constant bickering, plaques, his sister dying,people challenging his authority, so he had an excuse to be upset.
It’s just hard to believe it was because of a one time episode of hitting a rock , instead of speaking to it.
When he was denied access, he still kept his promise and made sure that they entered.

They inherited the promise land, the promised land on this Earth only points to a heavenly promised land, I would write ten pages on symbolisms about this subject even with the mountains they had to be linked to but I wont. I think back to Elijah being taken but in symbolism of the flesh being taken away, Elijah's spirit then resting and renewed in Elisha in double portion, it was needed that Elijah had to be taken that his spirit fell in great power upon Elisha, and while Elijah was a man of great faith, Elisha was a man of great sight. In the same way, I look at Moses and Joshuah.
Is the Messianic era when the 3rd temple supposed to be built? Is the Dome on the Rock on the ground where the Temple will be built?
I don’t know much about this subject yet. I hear different views about it. I have questions on that topic too, but I’m afraid that it will get into Politics, which I don’t want to .
