Even more pressing than private schools (about which you've all been most helpful) is the need to find temporary housing in KC. We're planning to rent for a while and find the ideal area in Brookside to buy, but that means finding relocation housing without a lease. Executive housing is a possibility, but room for two adults and two kids runs about $3000 a month, which is ridiculous.

I do know of a possibility-- a vacant four-bedroom house just a block from the Brookside shops. I copied your post and emailed it to the home's owner.
