Can we drive a rental car from Honolulu to the Kauai Polynesian Festival? Is it far? are the roads good? Going in May. Thanks for any help you might give.

From what I can find this festival is at the Vidinha Stadium soccer field. You may get a little wet if this is the case.

:shocked :

What you asked is the same as this:
Can we drive a rental car from Miami Florida to the Ponce Carribean Festival on Puerto Rico? Is it far? are the roads good?

If you rent one of those boat cars, it might be possible, or how about renting that car James Bond used that tuns into a submarine.

Honolulu is on Oahu and this Festival is in Lihue on Kauai. These are two separate islands with no car ferry in between. You would need to travel by airplane.

For travel information from Japan please contact Sayuri Sato at (808) 651-0323 or email sayuris@hawaiiantel.net

Travelling to the festival from all other countries, please contact Kapu Kinimaka-Alquiza at (808) 335-6466 or info@kauaipolynesianfestival.org

Aloha Anna,

Honolulu is on the island of Oahu and is a different island than Kauai. No ferries or bridges. The only way to get there is via airplane. I would stick with Hawaiian air if you decide to fly over.

There is a polynesian center on Oahu that is really nice. Maybe a better alernative.

I get calls once in awhile - big booming voice "Ma'am, how far is it from that condo at Alii Lani to the base at Kaneohe? I like to take that opportunity first to thank them for their service and sacrifice, then let them know that I'm not on Oahu!

Guess if you've never visited, s'pose there could be a little confusion but...

I worked at the Coco Palms on Kauai and an elderly woman said in her sweetest southern accent: "Scuze me ma'am but can you tell me what lake that is over there?" She was pointing right at the ocean.
